This is my go-to recipe to fight dessert cravings. It’s the perfect little bite-sized snack to munch on with a cup of tea. They are sweet with a touch of bitterness (tahini and orange). Believe me, it’s going to be hard to stop at one!

INGREDIENTS
  • ¼ cup tahini

  • ½ cup honey

  • 1 ¼ cups almond flour (almond meal)

  • Zest of 1 orange

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp sea salt

  • Pistachios (optional)

GUIDE / INSTRUCTIONS
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (Celsius).

  • Place the tahini, honey, almond flour, orange zest, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Combine well with a metal spoon.

  • Roll small walnut-sized portions of dough into balls and place them on a baking tray, with 5 cm distance between each other. If the tray gets full, you can cook these in batches or use multiple trays.

  • Gently press each ball down with two fingers and top with a pistachio. You can also use any other type of topping.

  • Bake for 10 minutes or until the cookies are golden. Keep checking them to ensure they do not get too dark.

  • Once you get them out of the oven, let them cool down in the same tray. Trying to move them while hot will cause them to break, as they will be too soft.

  • Store in airtight container and serve with a cup of tea!
